Logansport fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against West Lafayette on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 12-11. On the bright side, the 11- run performance marked the Berries' highest-scoring contest to date.

Deagan Kitchel led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Bryson Herr was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Logansport's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for West Lafayette, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Coming up, Logansport will host Norwell at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
