Having struggled with 16 losses in a row dating back to last season, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont turned things around against Cardinal on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 78-43 win over the Comets. The Rockets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Clarke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Albia 80-43. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Blue Demons are ranked 74th).

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15. As for Clarke, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
