Softball Recap: Bronson Comes Up Short

Bronson started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against P.K. Yonge. They fell just short of the Blue Wave by a score of 5-4 on Monday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Wave earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Brystal Howard was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Makenna Dean was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Bronson now has a losing record of 10-11. As for P.K. Yonge, their record is now 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bronson will face off against Dixie County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for P.K. Yonge, they will challenge North Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.63 runs per game on average), something the Blue Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of.
