Football Recap: Medford Takes a Loss

If Medford was feeling good fresh off their 51-18 takedown of Antigo last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders took a 20-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Merrill Bluejays on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Bluejays are ranked 270th).

Medford's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Merrill, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Medford is set to challenge their familiar foe Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Merrill will face off against rival Antigo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
