Softball Game Preview: Fillmore Flashes vs. Pacifica Tritons

The Fillmore Flashes will face off against the Pacifica Tritons at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fillmore will be strutting in after a win while Pacifica will be coming in after a defeat.

Fillmore's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Nordhoff. That's two games straight that the Flashes have won by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Buena, falling 17-1.

Fillmore is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Pacifica, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Fillmore beat Pacifica 14-10 in their previous matchup back in February. Will the Flashes repeat their success, or do the Tritons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
