Baseball Recap: Westside Wolves vs. Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers

After a string of four wins, Westside's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers by a score of 4-3. Westside was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Houston Math Science & Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Tuesday.

For Houston Math Science & Tech's part, Jose Munoz was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Munoz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a home run and two runs.

Munoz wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Cerevantes, who went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.
