Volleyball Recap: Milford Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

On Saturday, the Milford Eagles were able to grind out a solid victory over the Lakeview Vikings, taking the game 3-1.

Milford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22.

Shayla Rautenberg paced Milford's offense, picking up 32 kills. Rautenberg got some help from Kylie Jakub and her 44 assists. Rautenberg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Lakeview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kenzie Greisen had 20 digs. Greisen has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Milford pushed their record up to 24-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lakeview, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-10.
