Volleyball Recap: Concord Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Concord Academy lost against Gaston Day back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Spartans. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 26-28, 25-16.

Harmony Blankenship paced Concord Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Blankenship got some help from Harper Troutman and her 22 assists. Blankenship was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Ava Blanton had an outrageously good game for Gaston Day as she had 23 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Blanton has posted since back in August.

Concord Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Gaston Day, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Concord Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Westminster Catawba Christian on the 25th. As for Gaston Day, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against SouthLake Christian Academy on the 25th.
