Rockcastle County and Knox Central are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Rockets will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Rockcastle County took a loss when they played away from home on October 3rd, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat McCreary Central 39-7. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 28 points or more this season.

Rockcastle County can attribute much of their success to Caden Lovell, who rushed for 40 yards and two scores, and Isaiah Jackson, who gained 93 total yards and two touchdowns. Another big playmaker for the Rockets was Xavier Leger, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Knox Central challenged Clay County on Friday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 40-20 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The win got Knox Central back to even at 4-4. As for Rockcastle County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Rockcastle County against Knox Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 38-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
