Basketball Recap: Harmony School of Excellence Takes a Loss

Harmony School of Excellence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions, falling 83-22. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

LJ Clark had a dynamite game for Texas Lions HomeSchool, going 11 of 14 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Those 25 points gave Clark a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahj Johnson, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points.

Harmony School of Excellence's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Harmony School of Excellence Hawks duke it out with the Pleasanton Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony School of Excellence is facing Pleasanton at the right time seeing as Pleasanton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Texas Lions HomeSchool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-32 win against San Diego on the 13th.
