Basketball Game Preview: Arleta Mustangs vs. Verdugo Hills Dons

The Arleta Mustangs will square off against the Verdugo Hills Dons at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arleta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Verdugo Hills likes a good challenge.

Arleta's tournament run continued when they took on Simi Valley on Saturday. Arleta fell to Simi Valley 70-66.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Verdugo Hills finally came back down to earth back in December of 2024. They took a 41-23 bruising from Alhambra. The contest marked the Dons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Arleta's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Verdugo Hills, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.
