Volleyball Recap: Bishop Amat Starts off Right with Win over San Gabriel

Bishop Amat took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against the San Gabriel Matadors as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Matadors: they've now won five in a row.

Bishop Amat was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 25-19.

Bishop Amat found their leader in freshman Lauren Meza, who had 12 digs and six aces. Another player making a difference was Midori Lo, who had 16 assists and five digs.

Bishop Amat has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Maranatha on the 12th. As for San Gabriel, they will square off against Flintridge Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
