Soccer Game Preview: Royal vs. Navasota

The Royal Falcons will face off against the Navasota Rattlers at 6:05 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Royal comes in on 14 and Navasota on six.

Royal barely beat Harmony School of Innovation the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Royal put the hurt on Harmony School of Innovation with a sharp 8-2 victory on Tuesday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Harmony School of Innovation from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Angel Diaz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, everything went Navasota's way against New Waverly on Tuesday as Navasota made off with a 6-2 win. The Rattlers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 12th contest they've won by 3+ goals this season.

Royal pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 59 goals over those eight games. As for Navasota, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.

Royal beat Navasota 5-3 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Royal since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
