Volleyball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the New Diana Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 7th.

Chapel Hill took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 27-25.

New Diana found their leader in sophomore Kenzie Thompson, who had 12 digs.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for New Diana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, Chapel Hill and New Diana will both be playing De Kalb the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Red Devils will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
