Softball Recap: Varela Takes a Loss

After flying high against iMater Charter two weeks ago, Varela came back down to earth. The Vipers came up short against the Homestead Broncos on Thursday, falling 24-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 29-7 back in March.

Varela's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Homestead, their record is now 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Varela will square off against South Dade at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Vipers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Homestead, they will challenge Miami at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
