Recap: Dillard Panthers vs. Blanche Ely Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Dillard Panthers can now relate to. They were the victim of a tough 35-12 defeat at the hands of Blanche Ely on Friday. Dillard has not had much luck with Blanche Ely recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Blanche Ely found their leader in underclassman Omari Mcneal, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Blanche Ely's defense and their nine sacks. Leading the way was Joshua Lloyd and his two sacks.
Dillard now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Blanche Ely, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Dillard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Blanche Ely will head out on the road to face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas Aquinas is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
