Softball Preview: Xenia Buccaneers vs. Troy Trojans
Xenia is 0-10 against Troy since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Xenia Buccaneers will head out on the road to take on the Troy Trojans at 5:00 p.m.
Xenia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They suffered a tough 23-0 defeat at the hands of Piqua.
Meanwhile, even though West Carrollton scored an imposing 11 runs on Wednesday, Troy still came out on top. Troy put the hurt on West Carrollton with a sharp 22-11 victory.
Maddie Wright was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Abbey Seger, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5.
Xenia's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Troy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
