It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Southlake Carroll had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Eastwood Troopers. The victory was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on six straight.

Southlake Carroll was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-22, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Ashley Tam, who had five digs and 16 assists.

Southlake Carroll kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastwood only had five.

Eastwood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Angelyah Galford, who had ten kills, nine digs, and a block. Galford has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more kills the last 21 times she's played. Maya Gandara was another key player, getting 19 digs.

Southlake Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-10 record this season. As for Eastwood, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 35-6 record.

Southlake Carroll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Hebron on the 12th. Eastwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
