Baseball Recap: Edgewood Academy Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Edgewood Academy barely beat Ezekiel Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Edgewood Academy Wildcats' way against the Ezekiel Academy Knights on Friday as the Edgewood Academy Wildcats made off with a 14-2 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by six runs or more this season.

John Kujala looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Evans, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Colten Lashley, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Edgewood Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
