            Softball Preview: Middletown Blue Raiders vs. Biglerville Canners        
        
		
        
        
            The Middletown Blue Raiders are taking a road trip to  challenge the Biglerville Canners  at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. Biglerville took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Middletown, who comes in off a win.
Middletown is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They put the hurt on Susquehanna Township with a sharp  28-1 win on Thursday. The Blue Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten  runs or more this season.
Middletown got a  massive  performance out of  Journee Stover, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.  Maci Shutt was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs and three  RBI.
 Middletown  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .800. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Biglerville's offense. They lost  11-0 to Susquehannock on Thursday. The Canners' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
 Biglerville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Middletown, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
 Middletown's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's   contest. The Blue Raiders have been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.3  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Biglerville, though, as  they've been averaging  only 1.4  stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Middletown continue to outrun the ball?
