Basketball Game Preview: Albert Lea Tigers vs. Winona Winhawks

Albert Lea and Winona are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Albert Lea Tigers will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Winona Winhawks at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 35 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Albert Lea and five for Winona dating back to last season.

Albert Lea came up short against Austin on Tuesday, falling 72-50.

Meanwhile, Winona took a blow against La Crosse Central on Tuesday, falling 63-31.

Winona's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Albert Lea, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Albert Lea suffered a grim 66-45 defeat to Winona in their previous meeting back in February. Can Albert Lea avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
