Football Recap: Fort Bend Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Donnie Avery Jr and Brayden Tibbetts

Fort Bend Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 31-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tomball Christian HomeSchool Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 24-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Fort Bend Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brayden Tibbetts, who threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, and Donnie Avery Jr, who picked up 184 receiving yards and one TD.

Tomball Christian HomeSchool's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caden Alderson, who threw for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Fort Bend Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fort Bend Christian Academy will square off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, they will take on The Woodlands Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tomball Christian HomeSchool will need to watch out since The Woodlands Christian Academy has now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
