Soccer Game Preview: Central Cabarrus vs. Carson

The Central Cabarrus Vikings will square off against the Carson Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Central Cabarrus came up short against Northwest Cabarrus and fell 4-2. The loss was Central Cabarrus' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Lake Norman Charter. While losing is never fun, Carson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Lake Norman Charter are ranked 99th).

Carson's loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Central Cabarrus, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-1.

Everything went Central Cabarrus' way against Carson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Central Cabarrus made off with a 9-0 win. Does Central Cabarrus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
