Softball Recap: Mariner Tritons vs. Gateway Eagles

In what's become a running theme this season, Mariner gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Gateway Eagles as the Mariner Tritons made off with a 20-1 win. Mariner's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Gabi Winters was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Winters has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Winters was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Mariner let Kaylen Rounding and Mica Barraza loose on the outfield.
