Pike posted their biggest  win since January 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past the Beech Grove Hornets 72-46. Given the Red Devils' advantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 69th, while the Hornets are ranked 244th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Pike's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Isaiah Hill, who  went 8 of 9  on his way to 18  points and eight  boards. Another player making a difference was  Aiden Woods, who  went 5 for 9  en route to 13 points and three  steals.
The  victory snapped Pike's losing streak at five games  and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Beech Grove, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost eight of their last ten games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pike will take on Indianapolis Shortridge at 7:00  p.m.  on January 21st. Pike is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.6  points per game  this season. As for Beech Grove, they will face off against Southport at 7:30  p.m.  on January 22nd. Southport has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
