Volleyball Recap: Audrey Wallace and Katie Forker Secure Win for Central Noble

Central Noble took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Fremont, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 3-2. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Central Noble had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 17-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-7.

Leading Central Noble to victory were Katie Forker and Audrey Wallace. Forker had 32 digs and two aces, while Wallace had 20 digs. Those 20 digs gave Wallace a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Central Noble was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Central Noble's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Fremont, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Central Noble didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against DeKalb on the 4th. As for Fremont, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Garrett on the 4th.
