Basketball Recap: Notus Pirates vs. Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars
Notus hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight ) but thanks in part to Maleah Waldenmyer that streak is no more. The Pirates strolled past the Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-39 with plenty of help from Waldenmyer, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Notus' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Woodland, who posted two points along with 15 rebounds and three steals. She has become a key player for Notus: the team is undefeated when she posts at least ten boards, but 5-12 otherwise.
Notus' victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
