Why it's big: Archbishop Rummel puts its national ranking at stake in this nationally televised tilt against a Mississippi power that's averaged more than 11 wins per season since 2002.

Led by four-star defensive tackle Briston Guidry in the middle, Rummel's defense has been dominant with only one touchdown allowed in two games. Last week, the Raiders' offense also shined, totaling more than 500 total yards in a 48-0 rout of Covington.

Wayne County (2-1) bounced back from a Week 2 loss against state-ranked Oak Grove by defeating state-ranked Meridian, 35-31, on Sept. 4. Receiver Ramiek Wallace propelled the War Eagles with eight catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound senior has 439 receiving yards and six scores this season.

Names to watch: Guidry, an Arkansas commit, is one of two highly rated future Southeastern Conference defensive tackles who will play in this game. The other is Wayne County standout Benito Jones. He's also a four-star prospect and is committed to Mississippi.

Offensively, the top player on either team might be Rummel senior quarterback Chase Fourcade. The Nicholls State pledge lacks the ideal size of a blue-chip recruit, and he accounted for over 2,000 total yards as a junior.
