Western Tech & Environmental Science had to settle for second on Tuesday, but Travis Knipe sure wasn't going down easily. Knipe pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Knipe and Western Tech & Environmental Science will host Kenwood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are at an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long.
