Soccer Recap: Eagle Ridge Academy Takes a Loss

Eagle Ridge Academy managed to slip by Manitou Springs the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Eagle Ridge Academy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Manitou Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Eagle Ridge Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Manitou Springs, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Ridge Academy will host Peak to Peak at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manitou Springs, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Delta at 3:00 p.m. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Manitou Springs have won four straight at home, while Delta won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
