Softball Game Preview: Patrick Henry Rebels vs. Tazewell Bulldogs

The Patrick Henry Rebels will challenge the Tazewell Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Patrick Henry's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Tazewell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Patrick Henry blew Holston out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Holston got their revenge. The Rebels fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 8-6. Rebels fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cavaliers since on Monday.

Meanwhile, Tazewell had just enough and edged out Graham 2-1 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Tazewell and bumps their season record up to 2-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Patrick Henry, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Patrick Henry was able to grind out a solid win over Tazewell in their previous meeting back in March, winning 6-1. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
