Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Grand Saline's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Grand Saline got themselves on the board against Quitman on Tuesday, but Quitman never followed suit. They blew past the Bulldogs 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Grand Saline is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Quitman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grand Saline is set to challenge their familiar foe Mineola at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.1, the Yellowjackets 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Quitman will square off against rival Winona at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
