Delphi Community is 9-1 against Carroll since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Oracles will welcome the Cougars at 5:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Wednesday, Delphi Community earned a 7-3 win over Tri-Central.

Meanwhile, Carroll made easy work of Tri-Central on Tuesday and carried off a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Emily Justice made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Olivia Stankard and Serenity DeBoard did most of the damage at the plate: Stankard went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while DeBoard went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those three hits gave Stankard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Savoie, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Carroll kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Delphi Community pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average this season. As for Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Delphi Community beat Carroll 5-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Oracles repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
