Soccer Recap: King City Comes Up Short

King City and Gonzales squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but King City had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Gonzales Spartans. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

King City's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Gonzales, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

King City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gonzales, they will face off against Monterey at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
