Baseball Game Preview: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Stratford Knights

The Georgetown Bulldogs will take on the Stratford Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stratford took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Georgetown, who comes in off a win.

While Georgetown's victory against Dillon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Georgetown narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Dillon 9-7. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Mike Johnson, III, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Krause, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Stratford wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Jason Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Walter Argrett, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Stratford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-2. As for Georgetown, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
