Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Helix). They blew past the Vista Panthers 52-0 on Thursday. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Panthers are ranked 732nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Helix didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Alona Sanford, Carla Perez Vazquez, and Lauren Jenkins picked up one apiece.

Helix moved to 9-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Vista, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Helix will face off against Santana at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Vista has already played their next matchup (against Rancho Buena Vista), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
