Baseball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the North Boone Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Tuesday.

Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Guse, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for North Boone, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lutheran will face off against rival Byron at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, North Boone is set to take on their familiar foe Genoa-Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
