Volleyball Recap: Plattsburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Harrison on Tuesday, Plattsburg came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Lawson Cardinals on Thursday. It was the first time this season that the Tigers let down their fans at home.

Plattsburg couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lawson a tough time in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 28-30, 25-16.

Kayla Phipps had a dynamite game For Lawson., getting 23 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Phipps has posted since back in October of 2024.

Plattsburg's loss dropped their record down to 16-6-2. As for Lawson, they pushed their record up to 19-2-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Plattsburg will head out to take on Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawson, they will be playing at home against Lincoln College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
