Softball Recap: University School of Nashville Tigers vs. Antioch Bears
University School of Nashville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Antioch Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 last Wednesday.
University School of Nashville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lynden Anckner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
University School of Nashville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Antioch, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.
Looking ahead, University School of Nashville will square off against Stratford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.2 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Antioch, they will take on McGavock at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
