Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buena Vista). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Lake County Panthers 53-19. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Buena Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adeline Smith, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Liz Molitor, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards.

Buena Vista was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Buena Vista's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lake County, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Buena Vista will take on Lamar in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Demons their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lake County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Englewood at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
