Recap: Sanger Indians vs. Farmersville Farmers
The Sanger Indians''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a tough 30-7 defeat at the hands of Farmersville. Sanger was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Farmersville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Farmersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Norman, who threw for 201 yards and a touchdown on only 16 passes. Gerardo Reyes was another key contributor, rushing for 137 yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Farmersville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Sanger's QB won't forget Levi Smith anytime soon given Smith sacked him five times.
Sanger's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. As for Farmersville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which somehow isn't as good as their 7-2 record this season.
Sanger will head out on the road to face off against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Bridgeport is ranked 953rd, while Sanger is ranked 934th). As for Farmersville, they will be playing at home against Aubrey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aubrey is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
