Basketball Recap: Tyon Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincoln Park Academy over Sebastian River

Lincoln Park Academy lost against Sebastian River back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds received a blow as they fell 60-44 to the Sebastian River Sharks.

Several Greyhounds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyon Johnson, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshawn Stevens, who posted nine points and six assists.

Even though they lost, Lincoln Park Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Lincoln Park Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sebastian River, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Lincoln Park Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tradition Prep at 6:30 p.m. Tradition Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season. As for Sebastian River, they will head out to face off against The First Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
