South Rowan waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the West Rowan Falcons as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.
One reason for the win was South Rowan's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-21, 25-17.
Leading South Rowan to victory were Campbell Withers and Raegan Shell. Withers had 29 digs and two aces, while Shell had 16 assists and 13 digs. That's the most digs Shell has posted over her last eight matchups.
West Rowan's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Burns, who had 21 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinley Hiatt, who had 22 assists and 21 digs.
South Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for West Rowan, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
