Soccer Recap: Providence Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legion Collegiate Academy, Providence was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lugoff-Elgin Demons by a score of 8-6. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Providence hit Lugoff-Elgin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sarah Kovalcik (4), Sarah McGillis (2), Meagan McGillis, and Eliza Hanley.

Providence's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lugoff-Elgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Providence will be playing at home against River Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence has given up an average of 4.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they will head out on the road to face off against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
