Baseball Recap: Apache Junction Prospectors vs. Combs Coyotes
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valley Christian, Apache Junction was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Combs Coyotes by a score of 7-2. For the Prospectors, this counts as revenge for the 7-4 victory the Coyotes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Dylan Hunsaker made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Apache Junction is 4-1 when Hunsaker posts eight or more strikeouts, but 7-9 otherwise. Hunsaker was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
