Soccer Game Preview: St. Mark's vs. Woodbridge

The St. Mark's Spartans will head out to challenge the Woodbridge Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

St. Mark's is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Salesianum, who was ranked third at the time (St. Mark's was ranked fifth). The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Sallies on Wednesday. That makes it the first time this season St. Mark's have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, Woodbridge kept a clean sheet against McKean on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Highlanders 1-0.

Woodbridge now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for St. Mark's, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-2-1.
