Football Recap: Rappahannock Raiders vs. Nandua Warriors
Rappahannock had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Nandua Warriors, posting a 65-27 victory. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.
Rappahannock had a senior duo take command as Kenneth Madison gained 113 total yards and Cj Kelly threw for 103 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Madison's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 13th straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Rappahannock didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Nandua to a completion percentage of just 40%. The last time the Raiders' completion percentage was this high was back in September of 2024.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah Parker, who picked up 129 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards and one score. Juelz Snead was another key rusher, rushing for 67 yards and one TD.
Coming up, Rappahannock will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Nandua, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Snow Hill at 6:00 p.m. on September 12.
