After a string of seven wins, Upperman's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Tullahoma Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bees of the 5-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Julian Llano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

Upperman's loss dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Tullahoma, their victory bumped their record up to 27-10.

As of now, neither Upperman nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
