Preview: Bruceville-Eddy Eagles vs. Rosebud-Lott Cougars
Bruceville-Eddy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Rosebud-Lott Cougars at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
While Bruceville-Eddy couldn't quite beat Crawford on Tuesday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 21-point defeat they were dealt on Friday. Bruceville-Eddy fell just short of Crawford by a score of 42-40.
Lance Bailey put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ashton Rosas, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Rosebud-Lott can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Bosqueville with a 41-36 win.
Bruceville-Eddy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Rosebud-Lott, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.
Bruceville-Eddy skirted past Rosebud-Lott 42-39 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Bruceville-Eddy repeat their success, or does Rosebud-Lott have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
