Football Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

If King's Academy was riding high fresh off their 40-8 takedown of Trinidad back in September, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights came up short against Tyler HEAT on Saturday, falling 50-27. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Although King's Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Cole Dawson, Harris Durrett, Cayden Adcock, and Ethan Dollgener.

King's Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Tyler HEAT, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, King's Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenville HomeSchool Athletics at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will be up against the Archers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tyler HEAT, they will venture away from home to take on Harvest Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints' defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so Tyler HEAT's offense will have their work cut out for them.
